Supporting women in developing countries is important, it assists with problems such as poverty, education and unemployment. These problems can be solved!
By joining this program, you will be assisting a team with empowering women. In India, women still face social inequalities that includes mistreatment in a relationship, getting married at an early age and being denied an education.
Our objectives is to assist with gender equality through education about women rights and opportunities that are available to them.
An average day can incorporate, but is not limited to:
- One-on-one English tuition for teenage survivors of abuse,
- Aiding in the running, training and marketing of various vocational programs,
- Running health and education workshops (and even courses) and performing vital research in the community
- Weekly sessions at Brit Fort where vols lecture and facilitate debates between the men of Kochin about Woman Empowerment issues, all in English as it also provides an opportunity for locals to improve their English.
