Join a team of volunteers and assist with the running of physical education lessons and specific sports (such as football, netball, rugby and cricket and seasonal surfing lessons) at a local school in Cape Town.
This program begins in the mornings and is a great way to get children involved in being active. During the afternoons participants assist the surf club with giving the children surfing lessons and educating the learners about how to care for the environment and beach.
Volunteers participate on the sports program at the school in the mornings, three days per week they take students for surfing classes in the afternoons.
The morning project is planning and conducting sports classes at the local primary school. The surfing program is given to students in Grade 5-7 who will participate in the surfing program for one quarter. Every Monday the volunteers will deliver
Environmental Education programs will be given to the students who will later go surfing Tuesday-Thursday pending weather.
Surfing is only offered September-May due to weather.
